Ana Córdova nace en Soria, lugar donde comienza sus estudios musicales. Amplía su formación con Karen Martirossian en Madrid y, posteriormente, se traslada a Londres para completar los estudios de Grado Superior y Máster de Interpretación en Guildhall School of Music and Drama con Rinat Ibragimov, contrabajo principal de la London Symphony Orchestra.
Durante sus años de estudiante, se convierte en titular de la JONDE y de la Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, además de ingresar como academista en la Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment y en la London Symphony Orchestra.
En 2014 gana la plaza de Contrabajo Principal en la Royal Scottish National Orchestra, puesto que desarrolla hasta 2022. Durante este tiempo, Ana colabora paralelamente de forma regular como contrabajo principal con orquestas tanto del panorama internacional como nacional, como la Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra o BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, entra otras.
Como docente, imparte cursos y clases magistrales por todo el mundo. Entre 2011 y 2014 ingresa en plantilla como profesora de la Junior Royal Academy of Music y de la Purcell School en Londres. Entre 2014 y 2022 imparte clases como Professor en el Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
En septiembre de 2023, Ana se convierte en Catedrática del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia, trabajo que afronta con pasión e ilusión, y que compagina con su actividad artística musical de carácter activo.

Ana Cordova was born in Soria, Spain where she studied under Professor Karen Martirossian. In 2007, she moved to London to study both, undergraduate and postgraduate, under the tutelage of Professor Rinat Ibragimov at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
While studying in London, Ana became a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, where she had the privilege to become the first ever female Principal Double Bass. She also took part of the student scheme with the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment and the London Symphony Orchestra.
Between 2014 and 2022, Ana joined the Royal Scottish National Orchestra as Principal Double Bass. Her orchestral experience has taken her to regularly work with different orchestras around the world and the UK. She has been a guest principal with orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia, among others.
She has worked under the baton of the many prestigious conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Valery Gergiev, John Elliot Gardiner, Bernard Haitink, Ivan Fischer, Franz Welser-Möst and many others.
Since 2023, Ana is a current Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Murcia (Spain). After accepting this important position in Spain, she became a former teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland, a position she held since 2014. She is a former teacher at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and Purcell School in London too.
